Towards a better understanding of Dual Religious Belonging
In the eld of interfaith studies the phenomenon of dual, even multiple, religious belonging has caught the attention of scholars in recent years. In what sense can an individual “belong” to more than one religion? Is “belonging” the right term to use? Goosen addresses the subject of Christians who have an attachment to, or dual belonging with, another religion: so “Buddhist-Christian”, “Hindu-Christian” and the like. His book aims “to give some insight into the phenomenon of dual belonging” and hopes that “this…might assist people in both understanding what is occurring and how it is possible…”

Life after drowning: making waves together

Australia’s major churches have for two decades officially accepted one another’s baptism.

What might it mean if the full implications of this mutual acceptance were lived out fully?

Life After Drowning: making waves together offers 5 user-friendly studies to help Christians explore together the possibilities and difficulties.

Prepared by theologians and adult educators associated with the NSW Ecumenical Council and the Victorian Council of Churches, the five studies bring together biblical truth, real-life stories and theological reflection in an easy-to-use, attractive format.
